On The Move (collectively, "On The Move" or "we", "us") is committed to protecting privacy of your personal information / data. This Privacy Policy applies to those who use the app, digital services or visit the website by On The Move.
This Privacy Policy describes how On The Move collects, uses, shares and secures the personal information / data of the users of our services (the “User(s)” or “you” or “yours”, as applicable). It also describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your personal information.
Before accessing or using our products and/or digital services, please ensure that you have read this Policy and understand how we collect, store, use, and disclose your personal information.
Our Privacy Policy may be edited sometimes, as we review and keep it accurate as can be. The update date will be shown if a saved edit is made.
General information and data we collect
1) General
When you use our application / digital services we may need collect information about you. This will be clear to the user if an account is required with information such as name and any other profile information. Information and data collected is also needed when creating a new account upon sign up. For example when you create your user profile your name, email and password is collected for use when credentials are required for logging back into your account and to link your profile to your connections when using the app or website to indentify your friends and family between each other. If you choose to add an avatar or photo under your profile that is collected and saved along side your account also. When inviting connections to your network of friends and family your email or username is used to make sure the invitee is linked pending an accepted invite before a friendship is created.
However, some common device background information maybe collected also. In this case it will be related to the device used, such as version and model. This information is used to allow our services to be the most optimised and efficient for your use, also keeping digital services safe and to minimise fraud and malicious usage.
2) Location info
You location info / data is collected on your device for GPS coordinates only to pin point accurate location points, this is important for the app to function correctly as intended. However, we do not store your location data in our database at all after collection. It is strictly used from one device to another, which would be your chose friends or family devices (your connections). In summary a location is gathered from a device and sent to the other device and shown on there map. We do use third party services to pass this data across safely and efficeintly. But in no way is the location data passed with any personal names, emails or images that relate to this location data. This is intentional as we beleive your privacy is a priority and your location data should not have to be stored to use the features of our app, this is important to us.
How your data / information is used
We use the information and data you provide for your account profile within the app and to compliment the features of the core functionality within the app. For example, you may need to login and have a custom experience based on your needs. This will need your information that you provided on sign up. Or you maybe require a password and or access code for certain features within the app. Your profile maybe include your name, email etc. or location in some instances depending on the app features and the version. This may change depending on future updates.
Also, the information you provide maybe be used by us to contact you if it includes an email or contact phone number. This contact maybe be for account information, updates or security checks at any time. Any media used within the app, for example, images are used only where required for your profile and features within the app. For example when you add an image for your avatar via upload or native photo libraries. This will require access agreement within the device. We may also use your information for validation to prevent fraud or harmful activities to yourself or to other platform users. Eg. any required security checks requested if you have any concerned about your account. To help minimise and maintain bugs or application errors and help with any technical support for a better user experience.
Overall improvements for or services may require information you have provided for your profile to help us understand how to improve future releases. You information may be used for a more personalised experience to match your profile requirements. You location data / information is used for the core functionality of the app for your device to your added family and friends. We do not store your location data in our database at all after collection.
Marketing & advertising
We may use your device information for advertising purposes to target your interests via advertising partners used for some apps and future apps. However, this information is not intended to be any personal sensitive information. It will be for marketing and advertising peronal experiences to suit the user. We will not directly share your data for marketing purposes as our apps are not intended this way. Emails may by sent for promotions and news as marketing campaigns for our products and updates, with your contact information for us to reach out to you. However, usually opt out options will be available to you for such promo contact. although this is not a core function within our app, so in some circumstances you may not see marketing and advertising within the app, this could vary in the future.
Access and control of your information / data
Saved data and information about you, whether generic or personal, is controlled and deletable by you the user. We are open to allowing you to delete account / profile information for any of our apps and future related apps. You can also edit any information previously saved. For example change of personal name and / or username, contact details and other profile information. At any time you can request a list of the exact information we store under your account or any personal data use of your concern. We believe in full transparency and peace of mind for our users.
Your saved media used within the app, for example images, sound clips or video, will be used for your purposes within the app only. We do not use your personal media for any other purpose. We believe in transparency and privacy with your personal media. When you delete any of your media used, it is removed forever and can't be accessed by yourself or anyone. This can be done by deleting your account in settings or main profile area. Also, if you delete your account this will forever delete any saved media associated with your account. Your location data is never stored under your account or on our servers initially so this is not a concern with deleted accounts.
Children and privacy
We do not collect personal data from children who are younger than the apps required age. We will advise and state minimum age requirements where needed for any of our active apps. It is very important for supervision to be active by a responsible adult or guardian for any feature that young users may require this to help them use the app in a sensible way.
We understand that family tracking may require young users to use an account on their device. For example teenage users or young travelling independant children, this is expected. However, it is advised that an appropriate adult sets up an account for them. This can be using the adults email of course, which can them be used on the young persons device. Eg. if a parent wants to set up an account for their child that's possible.
The ability to delete your user account at any time can be done. Personal account information is under your control in terms or deletion and can be requested also if in any doubt. It is very important to us.
Data retention and rights
Data is saved for user accounts unless deleted otherwise, it is only used within the app when the app is in use. It is your right to delete redunant or no longer required accounts at any time. You can login and access these options from the account menu or settings within any of our apps with this feature.
On account deletion we intend and in most cases will permantely delete all your profile data and any created connected data that you have inputted within the app. As previously stated - your location gps is not stored in our databases at all and is not used along side any usernames, names or email address. This is important to us for a totally private experience. We will not be retaining any profile data after deletion, it will be gone forever. So please check that you are sure before deleting your account.
